Yippy Chihuahua at Cimarron Canyon

We camped on the second night at Cimarron Canyon State Park, which was a towering rocky canyon covered in large Ponderosa Pines. The campsite was located at the end of a longish trail that winded past several other campsites. Our neighbors were few and very friendly to boot. A quiet youngish couple who mostly kept to themselves camped right near us. There was another couple who were taking their grandchildren camping for the first time.

The thing that was most memorable about the family was Bitsy. Bitsy was a Chihuahua who the family brought with them. Bitsy also yipped a lot. She seemed that back home, She was used to being in charge. This tiny dog (who could fit in a coat pocket) yipped her tiny head off at any thing that crossed her territory: squirrels, ravens, and me. Especially me. There were times when I thought this dog would bite my leg off.
