Our EPIC trip to discover the best pie in the history of the universe in Pie Town, NM, is now over, but the blog will continue. There are more photos to share and stories to tell. We've discovered so much about seeing America off the interstates that we can't stop writing about it.

Taos
Next stop was Taos. Karen did a super job of directing us to the public library but couldn't find us an ice cream place. We had seen one driving in though, so while Chris stayed at the library to write, the boys and I went in search of ice cream. As he always does when we're lost, Ted was once again the one who remembered the way. The town has grown a lot in the 16 years since Chris and I were last here. We did find the ice cream shop though. Unfortunately, its freezer had just broken. No ice cream for us. So instead I took the boys to the plaza. We wandered into a shop that sold Stetsons. Ted picked out a nice dark brown one. And then we finally found ice cream!
